Steve Jurich, who joined the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) in June 2007, is NHIA's Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. He oversees all NHIA operational and financial matters, including staffing, team development, risk management, workflow assessment, systems integration, continuous quality improvement, member services, marketing, contract negotiation, review, and execution, and budget and finance management. In addition, he closely partners with the NHIA President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in leading the NHIA Senior Team in driving strategic areas and core businesses of the Association, such as membership recruitment and retention, regulatory and advocacy matters, industry data initiatives, branding, enhanced products and services, and educational/conference program development and execution. Jurich also actively collaborates with the NHIA President & CEO and NHIA Board to develop and implement the Association's integrated strategic plan, and to generate, maintain and expand strategic relationships with all key industry stakeholders. He serves as the NHIA President & CEO's deputy, and has recently assumed a lead role in launching the National Home Infusion Foundation (NHIF), a tax exempt 501(c)(3) foundation with a mission to advance the home and specialty infusion therapy community via industry-focused leadership, education and research initiatives. Jurich also is the Executive Editor and periodic author and columnist for INFUSION Magazine (the official journal of NHIA, covering all aspects of the home and specialty infusion therapy field).
Additionally, as a clinical social worker, Jurich previously has 10 years of experience practicing clinical and medical social work, and has a total of 25 years of experience in health care, aging services and a variety of senior level health care and association management positions—such Director of Social Services and Quality Improvement Specialist for MedLINK Nursing Center, Director of Operations and Development for the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC) at the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), and Vice President of Education and Shared Learning at AAHSA. Jurich launched AAHSA's Leadership Academy and has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland. He received his bachelors and masters of social work degrees from Adelphi University in New York.
