NHIA Announces New Reimbursement Resource Center

NHIA is pleased to announce its new Reimbursement Resource Center for NHIA Members. The Center is a well-organized, convenient web access to infusion reimbursement information available from NHIA and other Internet sources. Managers will find the Center provides access to policy and coverage information needed for research to make good business decisions, and keep up with legal and other payer requirements. In addition, reimbursement professionals will find useful information needed to perform their varied operational reimbursement responsibilities, such as billing. “We expect management and reimbursement specialists to come back to this Center time and time again,” says NHIA Director of Health Information Policy Bruce E Rodman, MBA.
The Center is maintained by NHIA with ongoing oversight and contributions from our industry’s primary reimbursement experts on the NHIA Payer Relations Committee. “We are excited about this new tool that will make the day-to-day responsibilities of many NHIA members easier by providing rapid access to home infusion reimbursement information available from NHIA and other entities,” said NHIA Payer Relations Committee Chair Pearl Shores. Shores already uses the site often to easily access information she needs. She adds that members may expect future posting in the Center of valuable reimbursement tools contributed by infusion practitioners.
First announced at the NHIA 16th Annual Conference & Exposition in February, resources are available on the following reimbursement policy and technical areas:
