NHIA 2nd Annual Legislative Conference

Once you have registered for the conference, it is important that you move forward quickly with scheduling Capitol Hill appointments. All Legislative Conference attendees should schedule visits with their two U.S. Senators and their U.S. Representative. To contact your members of Congress, you can visit our Political Action Center and enter your zip code. Or you can call the Capitol Switchboard directly at 202.224.3121 and ask to be connected to your Congressional offices.

Please schedule your visits between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on July 19, 2006. Click here for a step-by-step guide to setting up a hill visit.

If your organization conducts business in more than one state or congressional district, you may wish to schedule meetings with the members for each of those districts.

Legislative Conference attendees should plan on participating in hill visits as part of a state or district delegation. To find out whether other NHIA members from your state or district are attending the conference and to coordinate the scheduling of visits, please contact John McGlew at john.mcglew@ncpanet.org or 703.838.2678.

Keep NHIA Informed! Once you have confirmed an appointment, please forward that information to John McGlew at NHIA (john.mcglew@ncpanet.org or 703.838.2678). It is VERY important that the NHIA receive confirmation of all appointments to allow us to coordinate all conference attendees from the same state or districts to attend meetings as a delegation.
