Program Description:

Since January of 2006, the FDA has approved a number of new pharmacological entities to treat acute and chronic conditions. These approvals represent significant advances in the treatment of osteoporosis, growth hormone deficiency, enzyme deficiency, cancer, alcohol dependence, primary immunodeficiency, and infectious disease. This popular session, back by overwhelming demand from our attendees, is designed for home care clinicians. Content includes a review of new parenteral drugs and biologicals approved in 2006, their role in disease management, and their clinical application in home care. A brief overview of select pipeline drugs will also be presented.
